I am learning online slide presentation in the context of Rmarhdown Xaringan. I wonder, for customization, if I may embed, say, a web page (html, xml) into the front page of Tutor-EdX.

You should modify lms/templates/index.html by overriding comprehensive theme https://docs.tutor.overhang.io/configuration.html#adding-custom-themes
Try out Overhang’s customisable theme Indigo: https://github.com/overhangio/indigo
You can use a YAML file for your customisations or you can edit the theme to include more specific template overrides
