Full Screen home screen items

Currently, if you modify the index_overlay file from the indigo theme, the items will not fill the width of the screen. It seems the index_overlay file is contained inside of a div that is only a certain width.

How can I modify the index_overlay or another file so that items to appear on the home screen take up the full-screen width?

To any other newbies like me, this can be edited in the extras.scss file by changing the outer-wrapper and content-wrapper to have a full width
